12 Part Series - Living a Life of Resolution.

Part 5 - Resolved for Truth

These days, it seems that the idea of truth is open to interpretations. What is true for you may not be true for me. But what is truth? Truth is reality. Truth is the way things really are. We may choose to interpret truth differently, but the reality is that the truth will always prevail regardless of what we believe. Jesus said to Pontius Pilate in John 18:37,38, as He was on trial for His life, that He came to testify to the truth. To which Pilate replied, “what is truth”. This was not a sincere question as to the validity of the truth Jesus proclaimed. Rather, it was a barbed jab designed to refute any notion of objective Biblical truth. We as people under the sovereign authority of God must come to terms with His truth. We must face the reality that we all have a Divine appointment with God, and will have to answer for our rejection of His truth. So, how can we prepare ourselves for this Divine appointment? Well, we must be resolved for truth. This can only happen by reading our Bibles and submitting ourselves to the truth it proclaims. This will not only secure our

eternal joy, but it will also free us from the lies of Satan. Jesus taught in John 8:31,32 that the truth that He reveals will set us free. So be resolved for truth and break free from the lies of the enemy.
